As part of re-opening the campus from a period of low census and the resulting low flow of water through building water systems, it is recommended that departments follow service steps for department refrigerators with water dispensers or ice makers.
COVID-19 safety signage is being installed in all buildings currently in use. Facilities Planning is working with the Provost Office to develop circulation patterns for spaces/areas within academic and administrative buildings where social distancing could present challenges.

Congratulations to UMD Arboretum Staff! The UMD Community Learning Garden was awarded funds from the U.S. Botanic Garden (USBG) and American Public Gardens Association who partnered to support established urban agriculture and other urban food-growing programs at public gardens affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
FM Plumbing Services has performed domestic water systems tests in all academic and administrative buildings to ensure water systems and features—sink faucets, drinking fountains, etc.—are safe to use.
